- Van hit a lorry; Crawley Hospital; X-ray shows two broken ribs and sternum fracture; CT at East Surrey advised; morphine and paracetamol; left at 5AM.
Van hit the rear of the lorry. Taken to Crawley Hospital, with son-in-law.
Five hours later, told by the doctor that the X-ray showed two broken ribs and a fractured sternum, and advised a visit to East Surrey Hospital for a CT scan. Confirmed two broken ribs and a fractured sternum, given morphine, and told to take paracetamol.
A five-hour visit. Left the hospital at 5 AM, driven home by my daughter.

Trying to insure a second car
- Email offered £30 off a second car policy; the online steps misuse my existing car and say no second-car quote, and the phone number is unhelpful.
So I received an email On the 8th Jan 2025 Titled
Looking for a second car policy this email also offered £30 discount off a second car insurance.
I click on Get a second car quote Which brings up my existing insured car - no where on this page refers to second car quote so I Click on
Get a quote Where I find my personal details already filled in, all I have to do is fill in second car details - I continue to fill in the details until completed - Then this message appears Oh dear looks like we were not able to find a quote for you.
I was trying to get a quote for a second car, not find a quote.
Your have a serious issue with your online system if I am unable to get a quote for a second car - Your 0203 738 **** is meaningless if I cant talk to a human being regarding the problem outlined.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. I accepted that I inadvertently forgot to list a no-fault claim I had made and that had it been declared it may perhaps have increased the new premium anyway and One Call agreed in turn to charge a lower additional fee.
One Call Insurance has retrospectively charged me an additional £179 because I failed to declare the incident on my insurance proposal form.
They state that this includes £42.50 administration fee. On trying to challenge this with them I find that the company, despite their name, cannot be contacted by telephone-the only telephone numbers they provide are for third-party repairers, recovery services et cetera.
Nor do they give a postal address.I recommend anyone to seek out a different insurance company, even if it does cost a bit extra. One Call Insurance are to be avoided like the plague.

Frustrating as it appears impossible to contact One Call; their Live Chat option doesn’t work.
I want to contact this company to cancel my rolling monthly policy, but it is impossible to do so. The customer portal has a live chat, but it never actually connects!
There is no telephone number listed on the portal or on the renewal notice, even though the website states that there is. All emails are sent from a no-reply email.
The only phone number listed anywhere is strictly for making a claim and has no option for renewing or cancelling a policy. I have now stopped the monthly direct debit payment to them as I cannot find a way to contact them!
Preferred solution: A way of contacting them that actually works as their live chat definitely doesn’t.

Trying to talk to someone in person rather than a robot is not possible. There are no contact numbers available unless you have had an accident or broken down.
In the past, when I changed vehicles, I was never charged as I am on a platinum policy. Try explaining that to a robot; you have no chance.

Your omission caused the underwriter to start over at square one with this new info. Someone has to pay for the labor associated with doing double work.
